What happens if the person can't be served?
You still get a sworn affidavit — an affidavit of attempted service setting out each attempt, the times and what was observed. That's the document your court needs to support an application for substitutional service. The flat rate covers the work either way.
How fast can you serve?
Same-day service means a first attempt within 24 hours of receiving the documents. Whether service is completed in that window depends on the person being home — but the attempt, and the record of it, happens.
Do you serve outside Edmonton?
Yes. Anything past the city limits is the flat rate plus $0.80 per kilometre and $25 per hour for travel time. Send the address and we'll quote the total before starting.
How do I pay?
Interac e-Transfer or invoice. Firms with regular volume can be set up on monthly billing with a single consolidated invoice.
Can you give me legal advice?
No. We serve, file and commission documents — we can't advise on your matter or tell you which documents to file. For that you need a lawyer.
